This workshop meets DONA International standards for certification.A Postpartum Doula helps to create the environment a family needs to nurture itself after the arrival of a newborn. She comes alongside growing families by assisting with infant care, with light household tasks and "mothering the mother" during the exciting and challenging postpartum adjustment period.The curriculum of this workshop includes: Caring for the new mother, caring for the newborn, listening and communication skills, breastfeeding support, alternative infant feeding methods, nurturing families with twins or triplets, emotional transition of the family in the immediate postpartum period, postpartum mood disorders, code of ethics & standards of practice for postpartum doulas, running a postpartum doula business and some case studies

Description : The 84th annual Penticton Kiwanis Music, Dance and Speech Arts Festival is taking place at various venues throughout the month of April. The festival ends with two Highlight Concerts which showcase the outstanding performances. Get you tickets early for these concerts as they sell out fast.
